DTF File Type Requirements

To ensure the highest print quality, please follow these file guidelines when submitting your artwork:

Accepted File Types

  • PNG (preferred)
  • PDF (high resolution)
  • PSD (Photoshop files)
  • AI (Adobe Illustrator files)

Recommended Settings

  • Resolution: 300 DPI (minimum required for best quality)
  • Background: Transparent PNG preferred
  • Color Mode: RGB or CMYK accepted (RGB preferred for vibrant results)

Important Artwork Guidelines

  • Keep backgrounds transparent unless a solid background is part of the design
  • Ensure images are high resolution (avoid screenshots or low-quality downloads)
  • Avoid pixelated or blurry images, as they will print as provided

Files We Cannot Accept

  • Low-resolution images (below 150 DPI)
  • Blurry screenshots or social media downloads
  • Files without transparent backgrounds when required

What Are DTF Transfers?

DTF transfers are full-color designs printed onto a special film, coated with adhesive powder, and cured. They apply to garments easily and deliver vibrant, detailed results.

Press Instructions!

DTF Transfer Application Instructions

Follow these simple steps to achieve the best results with your DTF transfers:

1. Prepare Your Garment
Make sure your garment is clean and free of lint or debris. Pre-press for 5–10 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.

2. Position the Transfer
Place the transfer on the garment with the design facing up. Ensure it is straight and properly aligned.

3. Heat Press Application

  • Temperature: 300–320°F
  • Time: 8–12 seconds
  • Pressure: Medium to firm

Cover the design with parchment paper or a Teflon sheet before pressing.

4. Peel the Film
Allow the transfer to cool completely, then peel the film.

5. Final Press
Cover the design again and press for an additional 5–10 seconds. This step improves durability and creates a softer finish.

Pro Tips for Best Results

  • Pre-pressing is essential for removing moisture
  • If edges lift, increase pressure or press time slightly
  • Always test before running large orders

Recommended Settings by Fabric

  • Cotton: 310°F for 12–15 seconds (medium to firm pressure)
  • Polyester: 285–300°F for 10–12 seconds (medium pressure)
  • Blends: 300°F for 12–15 seconds (medium pressure)

Wait 24 hours before washing. Turn garment inside out, wash cold, and tumble dry low. Do not bleach or iron directly on the design.
